Zhenya from Shostka talks about her life during lockdown

My name is Zhenya.

I’m 28 years old.

I am a person with a disability.

I live in Shostka with my mum.

I have friends.

My friends are Anya, Sergey, Zhenya and others.

We go together to the studio

at the ‘Turbota’ Centre.

Because of the lockdown, we haven’t seen our friends.

My friends and I kept in touch by phone and online.

I was at home helping my mum.

I played games on my tablet.

And I did a lot of drawing.

I cooked with my mum.

Now, in the evenings, I speak to my teacher online.

The teacher sets me tasks.

Mum helps me with my homework and films me doing it.

I take part in online competitions

with my mum and my teacher.

At the competitions, I recite tongue-twisters.

Since 1 August, we’ve been allowed to practise in the studio in the open air.

I wear a face mask to my lessons.

I wash my hands frequently.

I don’t hug other people so that I don’t catch coronavirus.
