Kostya’s Life During Lockdown (An easy-to-read news article)

My name is Kostya.
I’m 24 years old.
I’m a person with a disability.
I live in Mariupol
with my mum and brother.

I have a dog called Chapa.
I look after Chapa and feed him.
During lockdown, I go
for walks with Chapa.

I have friends: Pasha, Misha, Olya,
Katya and others.
We go to the ‘Believe in
Yourself’ centre together.
We’re not seeing each other at the moment because of the lockdown.
I miss my friends.

I help my mum at home.
I do jigsaw puzzles, draw and listen
to music.

I can’t wait to see my friends again.

We’ve been allowed to go to the Centre
from 1 September.
I’ll wear a face mask when I go to the Centre.
I’ll wash my hands thoroughly.
I won’t hug my friends
so I don’t catch coronavirus.
