Life at the ‘Believe in Yourself’ Centre during lockdown

The lockdown has changed life at the Centre.
There used to be 46 children attending the Centre.
There, they learnt to sing, draw and socialise.
In their self-care lessons, they used to make pancakes, soup, porridge and sandwiches.
There were many children at the Centre.

Now it is quiet at the Centre.
Without the pupils, the Centre feels rather bleak.
The Centre’s staff keep in touch with the pupils by telephone and
online.
But face-to-face interaction is very important.
During lockdown, the staff are cleaning and carrying out repairs
to the premises.
They are preparing new and interesting activities.
Everyone is looking forward to the end of lockdown.

From 17 August, the lockdown restrictions in the city were eased.
Classes were allowed to resume from 1 September.
Everyone is ready to meet up whilst still under lockdown.
