Quarantine measures may be tightened in Ukraine
The number of people infected with coronavirus is rising
in Ukraine and around the world.
It is now the end of October.
Every day, 6,000 or 7,000
new cases of COVID-19 are being detected in Ukraine.
That is a very high number.
For example, in September there were 4,000 or 5,000.
Therefore, quarantine measures may be tightened in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Health is responsible for tackling the coronavirus.
This is Viktor Lyashko.
He works at the Ministry
of Health.
He is the Deputy Minister
of Health.
Viktor Lyashko says that lockdown measures will be tightened when the number of new
infections rises to 15,000 a day.
He said this on 27 October.
Viktor Lyashko also said that, for the time being, there are enough hospital beds
in Ukraine for Covid patients.
However, when there are more patients, doctors will have to decide
which of them to admit to hospital.
